Call Of Duty: Black Ops 2 Multiplayer Screenshots Send In The Drones

With the summer drawing to a close, Activision is throwing their energy into promoting Call of Duty: Black Ops 2's multiplayer. COD multiplayer has a well-established formula at this point but Black Ops 2's futuristic setting is shaking that up a bit.

Gunfights will be very different in BO2 thanks to robotic drones. In fact, every one of the new shots has at least one air drone in it. I'm not sure whether that's a reflection on how common they are. It could be that Activision just threw them into every image because they look cool.

Regardless, the air and land drones present new challenges. When confronted by an enemy player and his accompanying drones, you'll have to decide whether to pick off the robots or engage the human opponent directly. It's one more hazard to worry about in the fast-patched online battles.

Again, COD's multiplayer is pretty set in its ways so I'm not expecting huge changes. However, Black Ops 2 seems like the most promising sequel in quite some time in terms of innovation. Hopefully Treyarch really goes wild with these futuristic gadgets.
