Darksiders II Lets You Control Death

THQ formally announced a sequel to action-adventure game Darksiders today. Darksiders II will be released during the 2012 calendar year on the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.

Darksiders II puts you in the role of Death, one of the four horsemen of the Apocalypse. His journey, which takes place at the same time as the events of the first game, takes him through several light and dark realms. He's trying to redeem his fellow horseman War, who was accused of starting the Apocalypse early in the beginning of Darksiders.

"We have taken the best parts of Darksiders and improved on them with a host of new mechanics and features. You will see great things from this epic game," said THQ Executive Vice President of Core Games Danny Bilson.

DII is said to have bigger dungeons and a larger world than its predecessor. Full weapon and armor upgrades and new enemies are also included.
