Capcom released an extended version of the new E3 2009 trailer for Lost Planet 2. The trailer mixes a lot of cinematic flair with in-game play, so it’s definitely a trailer worth watching, though it’s not quite good enough to make it as a nominee for the coolest game trailers of 2009.

Unlike the first Lost Planet, which took place on one planet and starred one character, the newest Lost Planet game is far more diverse. In fact, the game itself is just massive in its storytelling and exploration scope. The game will see players venturing to all kinds of unique and varied locations, including but not limited to some funky looking jungles, some esoterically designed cities – even some expansive desert locales make the cut this time around.

The game is due out for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 (as revealed by Jack Tretton during Sony's conference) and PC.
