E3 2010: Twisted Metal Announced For PS3

published: 2010-06-15 15:20:39
David Jaffe's studio announced that Twisted Metal is making a return to the PlayStation platform and it's bringing a heck of a lot of changes with it. This year’s E3 conference for Sony was long winded, boring and wasteful. Kevin Butler tried getting people amped up by saying “it’s all about gaming” but the truth of the matter is that there were hardly any games on display during Sony’s lackluster conference.

Regardless of Sony dropping the ball, Jaffe was there to save the day with actual announcement for a PS3 exclusive, Twisted Metal.

The game features tons of physics-based gameplay, including destructible environments that nearly break down to nothing. The feature of the presentation was in the Nuke’em mode, that sees players trying to destroy giant metal structures of their team symbols. It’s crazy.

Twisted Metal will support massive online battles, as well as local split-screen support for up to four-players and mix-and-match modes for local plus online play combinations. That’s my kind of multiplayer.
