EA released a fair helping of new screenshots featuring more in-ring action of their upcoming MMA fighter. The shots also feature some groundwork on display, some stand-up game being employed and a few of the game’s option menus up for perusal.

The game is obviously aiming to take the competition a step further in the mixed-martial arts gaming genre, especially considering that THQ has a small stranglehold on the MMA gaming circuit with their annual UFC games.

If EA Sports MMA can manage to offer up the same quality gameplay and spot-on fighter animations then things could get real interesting. With the demo becoming available September 28th for the Xbox 360 and PS3, gamers will finally get a chance to compare both titles.
