Owners of the PS3 version of Grand Theft Auto IV have probably played it forwards and backwards by now but next time you decide to do a play-through, it'll actually count for something. Yep, it's getting Trophy support.

A patch on Monday will add 51 Trophies to GTAIV to chart your in-game accomplishments. The full list wasn't provided in the announcement but Rockstar did give a few examples, including "survive a six-star wanted level for five minutes" and "blow up ten vehicles in ten seconds or less."

All four examples Rockstar mentioned were Achievements in the Xbox 360 version. It's likely most of the Trophies will match up exactly with the Achievements. Except for the 51st Trophy, anyway (there were only 50 Achievements). Well, as mentioned earlier, the patch is coming Monday so you won't have to spend too much time pondering what the Mysterious, Magical New Trophy is.
