Microsoft confirmed today that Halo Waypoint, the new Xbox Live destination for all things Halo, will launch on November 5th. Should provide you with something interesting to look at during your five-minute daily breaks from Halo 3: ODST.

First announced at Comic Con, Halo Waypoint provides statistics and rankings based on your Halo performance. Microsoft also plans to release screenshots, podcasts, videos, and other media of upcoming Halo projects through the Waypoint as well. In other words, it should be a popular spot for receiving preview materials on Halo: Reach and the Halo: Legends anime.

Halo: ODST arrives on September 22nd. Based on this Eurogamer report, it seems like there's some uncertainty as to whether Bungie's going to have much to do with Waypoint. It's more Microsoft's baby.
