Already I can attest to ModNation Racers as being one of the coolest games set to release for 2010. In fact, this game almost looks more fun and engaging than both Forza Motorsport 3 and Gran Turismo 5. Don’t take my word for it, though, Sony released the official debut trailer for ModNation Racers and you can check it out right here at Blend Games.

Few games seek to dethrone Mario Kart from the top-spot of go-karting games, but ModNation Racers could potentially be the game that puts Mario and his carting friends six-feet under.

The best way to describe ModNation Racers is as a racing version of LittleBigPlanet. Players create and customize their own driver; no detail is too detailed for customization. Players can then choose from a select number of cars or build their own from scratch. The options and creative varieties are literally limitless.
