Apparently the world is still not ready for the psychological thriller game genre, as the Playstation 3 exclusive title Heavy Rain still needs a bunch of work, according to David Cage.

Cage, one of the lead developers for Quantic Dream, recently talked to NowGamer about progress and what to expect. “We’re still at the alpha stage and there’s a whole lot of work to be done,” Cage said. "There’s so much fine-tuning in the game left to do. Everything has to be perfect. If there’s one thing wrong in a scene, it’s the only thing you’ll see. There are many things that don’t work right now. We need to have everything in place, from facial animations, to score to work out the final result."

Heavy Rain still doesn't have a solid release date. It's expected next year, though.
