Activision recently released the new cinematic intro trailer for the upcoming, mixed-genre action game, Prototype. It’s an awesome trailer, no doubt. A word of warning for younger audiences, though: it may be too bloody cool for your under-18 eyes.

For those of you who don’t know what this game is about, a brief rundown is as follows: Players will take on the role of the mysterious Alex Mercer, as he develops and evolves his prototype mutant powers. The game features the ability to usurp character looks and abilities, as well as fly around, scale buildings and use all kinds of vehicles to complete missions and progress through the story.

The following cinematic intro trailer shows off a little bit of Alex’s powers and how he utilizes them. It also manages to lay down some awesome combat sequences that are as violent as they are shockingly cool.
