THQ and Volition announced today that the single-player demo of Red Faction: Guerrilla is now available for download on PSN and Xbox Live. In the same announcement, they provide a release date that's different than what was previously revealed.
According to the press release, the game will now be released worldwide on June 2nd. A few weeks back, a THQ rep had confirmed the game would be released on June 9th. Considering the press release is the more recent source, we're more likely to believe it but we'll try to sort this out for you. THQ is a West Coast outfit so unfortunately we may have to wait a few hours.
Anyway, yeah, the demo. It's been available for pre-order customers since April 3rd and offers a taste of the single-player campaign. Alec Mason and other freedom fighters are battling the Earth Defense Force (boo Earth) to liberate Mars.
