Show Your Console Pride With Dead Space Costumes

Electronic Arts announced today that Dead Space has gone gold and will hit stores as planned on October 14th. They've also revealed special console-specific player costumes you'll be able to download.

Gamers who buy the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of Dead Space within two weeks of its release will be allowed to download the new costumes off PSN and Xbox Live. Both costumes are similar to the space suit normally worn by main character Isaac Clarke, except recolored to look like the consoles. The Xbox 360-only costume is white with a yellow-green glow, while the PS3-only costume is black with blue and red shinies. The costumes will also have "increased toughness and inventory slots" to make your romps through the alien-infested mining vessel all the more pleasant.

There's no mention of whether EA will sell these costumes on Live/PSN once the two-week period expires on October 28th. Certainly wouldn't be a surprise, though. The press release also mentions that copies are still available of the $150 Ultra Limited Edition bundle - they're only releasing a thousand of those so hop on that quick if you're interested.

So, which costume do you think looks better?
