Even though the release date is set for 2011, Sucker Punch has let gamers in on a brief look at what they can expect from the gameplay in the upcoming action adventure title, inFamous 2. The new footage comes courtesy of Gametrailers and features a complete start-to-finish look at the action in the upcoming open-world, semi-super hero title.

While a lot of new games focus on visuals and framerate, the one thing that’s definitely looking promising for inFamous 2 is the in-game combat. The movements and fighting mechanism are extremely smooth, and almost the complete opposite of the combat in hot mess that is All Points Bulletin. Whether or not they’ll stay that way in the final product will remain to be seen, but I’m definitely loving what inFamous 2 is promising when it comes to the melee combat.
