Some readers have come to terms with new Dante; some gamers don’t mind that Dante looks like he tripped over the set of Twlight and ended up all emo before landing in Devil May Cry. Well, for gamers who don’t mind the new emo-Dante, Capcom released a new gameplay trailer featuring emo-Dante in action, along with some flashy camera-work hinting at how the devil trigger eventually turns emo-Dante into badass-Dante.

You can check out the disorienting trailer below, which features music I can’t quite make out and some really oddball environments. I at least have to give Ninja Theory props on the animations and them staying true enough to the character that he actually wields weapons with a flair of technical skill and he’s not just swinging stuff wildly around.



As you can see, if you can look past emo-Dante’s shortcomings of being an angry looking emo who looks like he threatens to slash his wrist if he can’t read the latest Stephanie Meyer’s book while trying to figure out what’s the best metro-sexual look to emulate from Cosmopolitan, then you’ll find that the game looks somewhat similar to what made the series popular.
