According to Variety, Sam Raimi has finally settled on his next directorial project. After nearly seven years of focusing on his Spider-Man fetish, Raimi will move from super people to little people.
Terry Pratchett's book for young adult readers, "The Wee Free Men", follows the story of Tiffany Aching, a young wannabe witch who must rescue her younger brother Wentworth from an evil queen of the flip side of a magic land called Faerie.
Despite wanting to be a witch Tiffany is warned to rarely use magic, relying instead on her wits, a handy piece of string, and the help of some little, vulgar blue men known as the Nac Mac Feegles. All the Feegles need for motivation is a few stiff drinks, the perfect magical companions for the childhood heroine.
Pamela Pettler, who also penned Tim Burton's The Corpse Bride, will adapt the story for the screen.
