Chow Yun-Fat Joins Dragonball Z![]()
Chow Yun-Fat in Dragonball Z. That’s now what you can expect to see on the posters, once the Dragonzball Z movie finally gets some. HR says the legendary martial arts star has signed on to star in Fox’s live-action adaptation of the popular, but ultimately incredibly awful, anime series.
He’s been tapped to play a character named Master Roshi. I have standards (low ones, but standards still), so I don’t watch Dragonball Z and thus have no idea who that is. From what I can tell, he’s the bald guy pictured to your right. But the movie is going to mostly be about a bunch of wild-haired characters battling over balls, and Chow is joining a cast already composed of Emmy Rossum, Justin Chatwin, James Marsters, and Jamie Chung. Though perhaps they’re leaving Dragonball’s trademark wacky, over-the-top anime hair in the cartoon. Pics from the set have already started popping up online. I’ve dropped a couple of them below, but you can see them all in high-res right here. That’s Justin Chatwin in particular, and as you can see his hair is decidedly... average. Metrosexual perhaps, but hardly anime crazy. Insane hair was really about the only reason I had to be interested in this movie. Now I’m left with… er… no… nothing. |
