Comic Con: Tom Hiddleston Hints That Loki Will Be In The Avengers

We learned a lot about the look and the characters of Thor thanks to the footage shown in Hall H yesterday (check out our detailed description here), but a lot of details were still left secret, including most of the story revolving around Loki, Thor's brother and eventual rival who rises to the throne of Asgard when his father Odin dies. Tom Hiddleston is playing Loki in the film, and when we caught up with him after the big Marvel panel, he talked not just about Loki's story in Thor, but whether or not we might see him in the expanded Marvel universe that will be The Avengers.

He didn't exactly answer the Avengers question, dodging with an "I don't know if I'm allowed to tell you," but that might be plenty of confirmation in itself, especially considering rumors that Loki might be a major villain in the film. Hiddleston also revealed that much of Loki's transformation into a supervillain will revolve around the revelation that he and Thor are not in fact brothers, a plot point that's part of the comics but hadn't necessarily been confirmed as part of the film. Check out what Hiddleston had to say about all of it below. We'll be running much more from the Thor interviews throughout the week.
