Premiering this week on Blu-Ray, DVD and digital download, The Double is a thriller starring Richard Gere as a CIA agent brought out of retirement to hunt down a former Soviet spy who seems to be linked to the killing of a U.S. Senator. Being a spy thriller, there are plenty of twists and turns to come, and eventually the young agent played by Topher Grace is forced to engage in some spy-to-spy combat of his own. In the exclusive Blu-Ray clip below, you can see Grace and co-star Stephen Moyer talk about the form of fighting they learned for the film, and how it helps you engage with the other person in the fight without actually doing yourself in.

If you want to know more, or see Grace and Moyer in action, you can pick up The Double on Blu-Ray this week. In addition to the featurette that features this clip, the Blu-Ray includes the film's theatrical trailer and a commentary with director Michael Brandt and his co-writer, Derek Haas. They're the writing team behind 3:10 to Yuma and Wanted, and The Double marks Brandt's directorial debut. If you want to know more about the movie this very instant, the film's official plot synopsis is below.

In “The Double”, the mysterious murder of a US senator bearing the distinctive trademark of the legendary Soviet assassin “Cassius” forces Paul Shepherdson (Gere), a retired CIA operative, to team with rookie FBI agent, Ben Geary (Grace), to solve the crime. Having spent his career chasing Cassius, Shepherdson is convinced his nemesis is long dead, but is pushed to take on the case by his former supervisor, Tom Highland (Martin Sheen). Meanwhile, Agent Geary, who wrote his Master’s thesis on Shepherdson’s pursuit of the Soviet killer, is certain that Cassius has resurfaced. As Shepherdson and Geary work their way through crimes both past and present, they discover that Cassius may not be the person they always thought him to be, forcing both to re-examine everything and everyone around them.
