Finding DeNiro 1998 brought us the first battle in the Pixar vs. Dreamworks war when Antz and A Bug’s Life were released within months of eachother and focused on similar characters and whatnot. Now six years later, their timing is a bit off.
Pixar’s Finding Nemo made a killing at the box office and on DVD, now Dreamworks is ready with it’s slap in the face a year and a half later with Shark Tale. When the war began, Dreamworks had the plus side with the voice talent. Antz had Gene Hackman, Woody Allen, Jennifer Lopez, Sylvester Stallone, and Christopher Walken, while A Bug’s Life had, Dave Foley, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Dennis Leary, Bonnie Hunt, and David Hyde Peirce. Once again Dreamworks has the bigger and better voice talent in their fishy tale with the voice talents of Academy Award winners Martin Scorcese, Robert DeNiro, Angelina Jolie, and Renée Zellweger, Academy Award Nominee Will Smith, one half of Tenacious D Jack Black, and tons more including Today Show correspondent Katie Couric. The Dreamworks/Pixar war is long from over, as the years progress these flicks keep getting better and better and making more and more money. Time will tell with this Tale. The latest trailer is now online for the new Dreamworks animated flick. Clink the link below to check it out. Shark Tale swims into theatres October 1st. ![]() What? . SUBMIT A SCOOP |
