Jackie Chan may be old, past his prime, and incapable of pulling off half the stunts that made him famous… but I’m excited about seeing him in The Forbidden Kingdom. In it, he returns to playing a Drunken Master, the fighting style that figured prominently into not only his best movie, but maybe the greatest martial arts movie ever made: Drunken Master II.
Maybe Jackie can’t pull off those same eye-popping, drunken moves anymore, but I’m dying to see him try. I’ll be there opening night for The Forbidden Kingdom in April hoping that Chan has enough gas in the tank for one last stumbling, monkey-punching adventure. Lionsgate has just given us five brand new character posters for The Forbidden Kingdom, one of which is Jackie as the Drunken Immortal. Check them all out below by clicking on the thumbnails:
