New Hangover Part III Poster Focuses On The Wolf Pack
One of the biggest promises of Todd Phillips' The Hangover Part III is that it will be completely different than the last two movies in the franchise. There won't be a wedding, and there won't be a forgotten night. Instead, as revealed in the brand new trailer that was revealed earlier today, the sequel will follow the Wolf Pack (Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis) as they travel from Los Angeles to Las Vegas to Tijuana, Mexico on the hunt for Mr. Chow, the psychotic gangster played by Ken Jeong. Sadly, however, this new poster for the film, which comes to us via IMP Awards, doesn't match the creativity of the new plot.
While this isn't by any means a bad poster - just a thoroughly average one- what makes it kind of disappointing is that it comes on the heels of the two designs that arrived earlier this week. I will admit I am curious about the tools that the stars are holding, and it's weird that the tagline on this one is "The End" instead of "It Ends" like on all of the others, but how can you compete with angry John Goodman crouching over a sitting Galifianakis or Jeong taking a parachute ride over the Las Vegas strip? Anything is likely to look at least somewhat dull by comparison, but this is what happens when expectations are raised.
Posters aside, the best news for Hangover fans is that the movie is only a few weeks away. The film is set to go head-to-head with Fast & Furious 6 on this year's Memorial Day weekend, and we can't wait to see how that battle turns out.
