Iron Man Cameo Spoilers

It’s in the title, but it bears repeating: This story contains potential Iron Man spoilers. Minor spoilers, but spoilers nonetheless. If you don’t want to read them, go away. Read this spoiler free editorial

On with the spoilers.

Most of you probably remember the rumor from a few months ago that Samuel L. Jackson might make a cameo in Iron Man as Nick Fury, agent of S.H.E.I.L.D.. Well I just got back from a screening tonight, and he’s not in it. However, there’s a rumor going around, picked up from CBR by JoBlo which claims that the cameo was admitted from preview screenings like the one I attended tonight, but will still be in the actual movie.

I find it hard to believe. S.H.E.I.L.D. is worked into the film, but it’s done in a way that would almost make any inclusion of Jackson’s Nick Fury character absolutely impossible. I just don’t see any easy way for them to work a cameo like this in, without a radical altering of the edit I saw tonight. I suppose it’s possible, it just seems highly unlikely.

While we're at it, those rumors of a Hilary Swank cameo? Yeah, not in it either. Told you so.

However, come back here after you see the movie this Friday, and let me know whether you spotted an eye-patched Sam Jackson anywhere in it. I doubt it.

Sam Jackson's Nick Fury IS at the end of the credits telling stark about the Avengers Initiative.

well i just got back from a session in Australia
and can CONFIRM the cameo IS in the movie
its after the credits have scrolled and i mean all of them

SPOILER ALERT (dont read ahead if u dont want details of the cameo)

tony walks back into his lavish pad to see a man facing out the window he asks who are u and the man says something like ure not the only special one out there stark, he then turns around and its sam jackson in all his eye patch ultimate nick fury glory, he walks over to stark and says "im here to talk to you about the avengers initiative" cut to black
