MOVIE NEWS
Lohan Loves Altman Today there was some news about the Indian guy from Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle joining the cast of Singer’s Superman… but we aren’t covering that. Instead, I’ve decided to cover Lindsay Lohan casting. We never pass up a Lindsay Lohan story.
No, I do not have her new album. According to ETOnline, Lohan is set to star in the movie A Prairie Home Companion, an adaptation of the book by a National Public Radio personality Garrison Keillor. You see, he’s not a DJ, because being on NPR means he’s smart. The really weird thing is that the book is a comedic behind-the-scenes look at what happens on his show. An NPR show. Have you ever listened to NPR? It’s not exactly Howard Stern. I can’t imagine anything more boring than watching a movie about history professors hanging out in the shabby, bathroom sized green room of an NPR radio station. Can they bring in Johnny Fever? Less Nessman? This movie is going to need something to spice it up. Maybe that’s why they hired Lindsay Lohan. The film will be directed by a guy big on making boring films, Robert Altman. Altman’s last boring movie, The Company was noteworthy only for managing to be seen by even fewer people than his previous boring movie, Gosford Park, a movie about reach people receiving tea. Maybe Lohan’s "talent" can spice things up. A Prairie Home Companion is set to start shooting in April. |
