With neither action (Jonah Hex) nor drama (Passion Play) nor horror (Jennifer's Body) panning out as Megan Fox hoped in her post-Transformers career, it seems as though she now wants to be a comedian. Already on her in-development list is Jennifer Westfeldt's Friends With Kids and Judd Apatow's This is Forty, but now, according to THR, she's adding another laugher to her resume.

It has been announced that both Fox and John C. Reilly will have cameos in The Dictator, the new Larry Charles-directed film starring Sacha Baron Cohen. Currently filming in New York and inspired by Saddam Hussein's novel Zabibah and the King, Cohen stars as a iron fisted ruler who "risked his life to ensure that democracy would never come to the country he so lovingly oppressed." The film also stars Anna Faris, Jason Mantzoukas and Ben Kingsley and is set to be released on May 11, 2012.

While I've never laughed at anything Megan Fox has acted in (her career choices are another story), is it possible that she is actually a comedic genius? How else do you explain why she's getting so much attention in the genre? It's also not entirely lost on me that she left Transformers because Michael Bay was being a "Nazi" and now she's going to have a role in a movie about a dictator. I just thought that angle was too easy.
