Rachel McAdams Could Join The Time-Travel Comedy About Time image
I'm starting to think that Rachel McAdams may have a thing for guys who have the ability to time travel. In 2009 she starred alongside Eric Bana in The Time Traveler's Wife as a woman who lives a life with a husband who can't control his ability to time jump, and now she's getting set to play a similar role - only this time the time travel ability is controlled and it's a comedy instead of a drama.

McAdams is now in talks to play the female lead in About Time, the new film from director Richard Curtis. The script, which Curtis wrote, is described by THR as a "fantastical feel-good movie" about a man who can time travel and his meeting with the girl of his dreams. Domhnall Gleeson, who is actually the son of In Bruges actor Brendan Gleeson, is set to play the male lead. Bill Nighy, Tom Hollander, Margot Robbie, Lydia Wilson and Vanessa Kirby all have supporting roles. The film will be only the third that Curtis has directed, the first two being Pirate Radio and Love Actually. Curtis most recently wrote the script for Steven Spielberg's Oscar-nominated War Horse.

I must admit to being immensely curious about how the time travel element plays into the story. When I think about it, it seems like it could be similar to Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, but we'll just have to wait and see if Curtis can craft something that great.
