MOVIE NEWS
Rachel Weisz And Ben Affleck On Board For Terrence Malick's Next![]()
Terrence Malick's next film still seems like more of a rumor than an actual thing-- Tree of Life still isn't finished, after all, and the guy isn't exactly known for rushing between projects-- but nevertheless, the cast continues to come together. Back in February we learned that Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko were on board for the film being described as a "romantic drama," and now The Wrap has learned that Ben Affleck and Rachel Weisz have hopped on board as well.
Weisz's rep confirmed her casting, while the Affleck news apparently comes from a conversation he had with a guy at a bait and tackle store in Tulsa-- no, seriously, read all about it. The Wrap claims that Affleck will be replacing Bale in the film, though since no one really knows what the movie is about I have no idea how they've figured that out. Filming is apparently set to begin in Oklahoma in October, so maybe we can assume Malick will have Tree of Life finished by then? Maybe? Diehard Malick fans are doubtlessly used to this frustrating waiting period by now; diehard Affleck fans, prepare for years and years of non-news and rumors as this movie takes forever to come out. |
