Serenity 2 May Happen

It's about time!!! I don't care if it goes straight to dvd, the chemistry of the cast was wonderful!!!! All the characters made me want to watch it again and again, which is why I bought it. Please make another one. I really think Joss should try the series out again too now that we know it's around. I never knew the series existed until the movie came out, then it was too late to watch the series because it had been cancelled.

YES! It would even be better if the series started again. But I guess if a movie comes out, we have to settle for that. Everyone that has seen the movie or series have asked. Where is the rest. Is it there going to anything more? And I really hope so. Really love the characters in the movie.
And of course we got a bit nerdy and bought the bord game Serenity. *smile*
lets keep our fingers kross and hope for a Serenity 2.

I learned about Firefly from the internet when I googled Joss' name as I love the Buffy and Angel universe and was in withdrawl after they finished. I bought the series on Ebay a week later and was SO into it after the first episode that i rewatched it and the commentaries in a week! I have trawled the net looking for ANY news of a sequel to the film and cannot believe I stumbled across this site! I hope it's true. I happen to be totally deaf and have been let down only once - when I bought the 2 disc version - there was no English subtitles on the second disc( interview with joss!). I am going to keep looking and hoping.....

Wahoooooo! Best news I've heard all year!!!! I'll keep my fingers crossed that they do this thing. I agree, the critics have absolutely no friggin clue what's good and what's not! I mean we are talking about people who voted Fargo the best picture of the year at one point.....enough said.
For all of us out there with a longing for Serenity to come back and grace our tv's or movie screens again.......we know what we like. Really, who doesn't love the best cross between Star Trek and Gunsmoke ever?!?

The more people that discover Firefly, the more popular the Serenity movies will become. Initially as we all know, the show had very limited air time. By the time most of us got to see firefly, the show had already been cancelled.

My wife and I are still introducing friends to the show for the first time, and I’m sure others are doing the same worldwide. Many people have yet to experience Firefly and Serenity... Sci-Fi buffs included. As the show becomes wider known, it can yet become more popular.

Your average TV show these days mainly fits into one of these categories: Hospital drama, Law drama, crime scene investigation, "reality" TV, game show, poor comedy, panels... Basically all OLD ideas done to death! Nothing new whatsoever! However, Firefly presents an idea that's new and refreshing ... original.

The Firefly universe presents so many possibilities for expansion and further exploration.

The FireFly series to Serenity movie was excellent. I saw the movie twice before it was a DVD. I watched it twice on HBO and it never gets old. An outstanding TV/Movie that the whole family can understand and enjoy. Getting a sequel would be most welcomed. Starting up the FireFly series again would get the interest going for a movie sequel. Either way, we win with family SciFi entertainment. I don't know how they got their TV ratings, but I didn't know anyone who missed FireFly on Friday nights. The networks need to rethink their ratings and how many people really watch and not go with the estimates from the rating companies, who were Alliance cronies by the way they killed FireFly. Anything that Joss brings to the screen will be worth watching!

I loved Serenity and after hearing about the series...I thought it was even better. Im not a big Sci-Fi fan, but this is one of my movies and series of all time. Hope to see a sequel and second series.

A direct to DVD movie would be wonderful. I watched Firefly for the first time this week, and finished it in two days. I wish I had known about it when Serenity came out, so I could have helped.

Well Lets hope it happens, who knows if we talk about it enough on the interweb that may be enough to make em take then ext step.

even my own mother (albeit a starwars junkie of old) calls me and clambours for any information HINTING at a continuation of any kind. I havent even told her about reading the fanfic online. She'd never get off the computer. If retirees can love the firefly universe, who wouldnt?.... although i do have a sneeking suspicion this is her david-bowie-in-tight-pants fetish cropping up.

Lovely thought, but I won't believe it until it actually happens. Not sure what story they'd tell, though. The point of the first film was to wrap up when the series was cancelled. River's 5-year arc was squashed into 120 minutes, so what's left to say?

omg! omg! oh I hope this is true. Please please give us another serenity installment.

If the script/directing/cast performances are of the same quality as they were in Firefly/Serenity, it'll work on any format...........and better than a lot of the other rubbish out on the big and small screen at the moment. Something I'd happily invest my hard-earned cash on!!!

They really need to stop basing decisions on how well a film does in movie theaters. I hate movie theaters these days. There's always at least one jerk talking on the cell phone, and several more sending text messages so I get flashes of their back-lit screen. Then there's the old fashioned kicking the back of your chair and letting the kids climb all over the place.

DVDs come out just a few months after the theatrical release. I get to pause it when I want, re-watch it when I want and it only costs 2 movie tickets. With home theater systems as good as they are, going to the theater is a waste of time, money and patience.

I'd love to see a new Firefly movie (or even a revival of the TV series) but like several other posters, I hope they don't skimp on the budget.

I just want to find out about the guys with the blue hands.
