Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Screens First Footage Ahead Of New Trailer
The heroes on a half shell are coming back to theaters, and a trailer is likely to drop later today. But you donít want to wait. You want to see the first footage from the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie right now! Fine. Click the above link, via the Today show.
Will Arnett, who plays Vernon Fenwick in the upcoming feature, brought pizza by the show because, of course, it is the favorite food of his "buddies," the Turtles. And itís fun to watch the Today hosts uncomfortably handle slices of pizza they donít want to eat. As for his character, Arnett keeps it vague, saying merely that he plays a cameraman who gets "wrapped up" in an adventure with the four turtle characters. "Heís faced with having to help save New York," Arnett explains. Noble!
But you only want to know what the Turtles are going to look like, right? And the above clip sort of answers that, albeit with that super annoying Today show banner running along the bottom. We see what appears to be Aprilís (Megan Fox) first meeting with the Turtles. We even hear them speakÖ and thereís that hint of California surfer dude in there.
This clip reflects the footage description Eric brought us from CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where Paramount Pictures unveiled the official first look at the Michael Bay-produced reboot. The shot of one of the heroes crashing into an SUV is exactly how Eric painted it. We get a quick snippet of it above.
The better news is that a full trailer should be arriving later today, hopefully without a watermark or TV banner ad. We want to appreciate the entirety of what director Jonathan Liebesman (Battle: Los Angeles) has to offer. Until it drops, weíll just keep this on repeat in the background. Dance along.
