The last place you expect to get exclusive information about the plot of a hugely anticipated movie is the Wall Street Journal. It’s more an information source of the economic woes in Indonesia and the reason the S&P 500 is up in the last fiscal quarter. Catching everyone by surprise, though, was a little tidbit about Toy Story 3 in an Online Journal story about Disney’s surging in house videogame division.
The lengthy article starts out with the following; “In Pixar's coming movie Toy Story 3, Woody the cowboy and his toy-box friends are dumped in a day-care center after their owner, Andy, leaves for college.” There isn’t any more information about the plot, or the movie for that matter, in the rest of the story, but it’s more than we’ve heard previously about what Buzz, Woody and the gang will be doing in the third Pixar/Disney installment.
While it is only the briefest outline, I like the idea that the toys will be thrown into something completely new. One thing that the second movie hit so hard was that Andy was going to abandon his toys one day. It looks like that day will be coming in 2010.

omigoodness. when i read that i almost wanted to cry. i had hoped and prayed that the toys wouldn't get abandoned in this movie. i hoped that at the very least, andy would keep them for his sister or his future children.
all i know is that in a daycare, toys are never REALLY loved. sure, they're loved from september to june, but then there's the abandonment again. they lose those kids and get new ones again. it's a cycle and they never really get to be LOVED.
plus, if this really is the plot, we'll never get to see how jesse and bullseye settled in at andy's house. and will they eventually get separated from eachother? pixar, DON'T GO WITH THIS PLOT!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!
plus, why would andy wait until college to get rid of his toys if he was going to at all? did he really play with his toys all through high school? even middle school? doubt it. since his mom did a yard sale in the 2nd movie i'm sure she would do one between then and andy going to college. it's unrealistic, so i'm kind of doubtful that this is the plot. and of course, always question the source. they never said "according to pixar", so it might have just been a cheap shot to get attention for their article, or maybe pixar is trying to spark interest in the movie. yeah, that's probably it. and yeah, i'm kind of going through the denial stage because i don't want this plot, but seriosly, it does seem a bit unrealistic that he would wait until college to dump the toys.
wtf?!?!?! i really want 2 see this movie but how would the toys react to a day-care center?in the first toy story, andy was six. in the 2nd, he was ten. would his sister molly be going to high school in the 3rd one? that's why he needed to dump them in a DC center? i can't believe pixar's doing this! aldo, i've got info that some toys (like lenny or mr.spell) will not be there. any baby toys he would throw away aren't going to. and his mom will probably 50, for god's sakes. she can't stay 30, 28, or however old she is forever. i'm a huge Toy story fan. and i'm 12! which means i'll be 13 (going on 14 in dec.).
PLUS, why in the world would pixar choose this plot. there's tons of other plots out there pixar, catch a new one! i found this article on the web, saying some background info about the plot. it says " also, jessie, who was owned my a little girl named emily and then was abandoned, will realize Emily is andy's mom!" how crazy is that! we just will have to wait for 2010 for TS3.

WHAT???? NO!!!!!!
omigoodness. when i read that i almost wanted to cry. i had hoped and prayed that the toys wouldn't get abandoned in this movie. i hoped that at the very least, andy would keep them for his sister or his future children.
