Village Trailer
M. Night Shyamalan's The Village looks less like Night's typical Hitchcockian brilliance and more like a cheap horror flick all the time. They've got a new trailer out there, which for some sick reason seems to remind me of the misery of Jeepers Creepers.
The Village is the story of a bunch of settlers with really cool hoods who live in an uneasy peace with strange and unknown creatures living in the woods around their homes. Apparently they are some sort of bull, since the trailer makes a big deal about them being attracted to the color red. Either way, the truce is broken and the unknown creepy crawlies start causing trouble. Joaquin Pheonix heads into the woods to get help. Then an obligatory plot twist happens. I'm a huge fan of Night, but this just seems weird. Cheap thrills from the master of suspense? Say it ain't so. Click here to watch the new trailer ![]() Got a comment? . |
