Watch Gina Carano Kick The Crap Out Of Channing Tatum In The First 5 Minutes Of Haywire
Steven Soderbergh’s Haywire has been collecting outstanding reviews since its surprise debut at the AFI Fest in Los Angeles last year. It has a perfect 100% on Rotten Tomatoes (with only 5 reviews at the moment) and is set to open wide on January 20. But thanks to a new clip that was posted over on Hulu, you can watch the film's first five minutes right now:
Full disclosure: I didn’t watch the clip. And I won’t. I’m supposed to see Haywire tomorrow, and I’m not sure why I’d watch the first five minutes of a film if I’m not able to, you know, keep watching it! Tell me, are you interested in seeing clips like this? Do you want to see a teaser that gives away a whole scene? Does it allow you to get to the theaters a little late and not feel bad about missing the opening? Does the clip convince you to see Haywire if you happen to be sitting on the fence about it? I’m genuinely curious. As for Haywire, it stars the ass-kicking Gina Carano as a black ops specialist who goes after her superiors (played by the likes of Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor and Antonio Banderas) once she has been betrayed. If that sounds like a story you’ve heard countless times before, that’s because it is. But Soderbergh’s the master of turning a familiar genre inside out, which is exactly why I’m itching to see what he has up his sleeve. And if you need and appetizer for something like that, the 5-minute clip await you above. |
