The New Valerian Trailer Features Pretty People, Scary Aliens And New Worlds

In the first trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, the great wide world of agents Valerian and Laureline was unveiled to us in some pretty spectacular detail. But there wasn't a lot of story on display, and even with the limited visuals we were shown, there seemed to be a lot of galaxy left for director Luc Besson to show us. Thankfully, we don't have to wait any longer for a new look at his latest film, as the new trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets has dropped, and it's full of pretty people, scary aliens, and new worlds for you to see!

The best part about the new trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, released by STX Entertainment and EuropaCorp today, is the fact that while we get to see more of the absolutely gorgeous pair of Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevigne in action, a true picture of the scope that's present in Luc Besson's adaptation of this legendary French graphic novel is in play. And if this is even half of what the would-be summer blockbuster is going to throw our way this July, we just might short circuit. As promised, Alpha, the titular "city of a thousand planets," is a stunning haven for various lifeforms throughout the universe, all trying to survive & share their knowledge in this colorful future.

But, of course, someone's out there to spoil everyone's fun, and there's only a handful of hours that stand between Valerian and Laureline and universal chaos. With everything from underwater giants to some threatening robots, Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets definitely has its fair share of peril that'll get in the way of the two intrepid agents, and even the threats in this universe look visually spectacular. Even if they could shoot our heroes down or gobble them at a moments notice, they'd at least be doing so in a visually stimulating way.

Despite the latest trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets throwing everything and a nurse's uniform into this new look into the film, there's still one big surprise that's been held back for obvious reasons. As we previously reported, our own Gregory Wakeman got to see this latest trailer in advance, and in 3D nonetheless! His advanced buzz on this trailer was definitely an indicator of what amazing sights we'd get to see in the new trailer for Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets, and if anything, we really need to see this trailer in the third dimensional treatment as soon as possible.

Valerian And The City Of A Thousand Planets will be in theaters on July 21st. If you're interested to see what it's competing against, as well as catch up on whatever else is being released throughout the year, you can check out our 2017 release guide for further details.
