America's Got Talent: Will It Be Better Or Worse With Heidi Klum?

Earlier this week, America’s Got Talent decided to call an audible and bring in a fourth judge. Over the course of its first seven seasons, the specific judges changed quite a bit, but the program never deviated from having a trio. Now, Project Runway host Heidi Klum will join the panel as a fourth voice, and not surprisingly, the alteration has split the fanbase between those who think the change is much needed and those who can’t understand why producers are tinkering with the format.

On the one hand, it’s hard to argue with Heidi’s lofty reality television resume. She and Tim Gunn have steered Project Runway to incredible heights, and her bubbly and energetic personality has always been a very big hit with television viewers. Not to mention her career as a model, which makes her very pleasing to the eye. On the other hand, one of the great things about America’s Got Talent has been two dissenting judges trying to win the undecided over. With four opinonmakers, that balance is thrown off a bit; so, either contestants in the early rounds will only need to get half of the judges which is far easier or they’ll need to get three quarters of the judges which is far harder.

Altogether, I think I’m more excited than apprehensive about the changes, but there are many who disagree with me. Where do you stand? Let us know your thoughts by voting in the poll below…
