And we’re down to three. The NFL has reportedly narrowed the pool from every musician in the world down to 2 solo acts and 1 band in the race to play the Super Bowl Halftime Show. The eventual winner and the two finalists and eventual losers are, in no particular order, Rihanna, Katy Perry and Coldplay.
On the whole, pop stars are a pretty unpredictable and impulsive group, but even among that lot, Rihanna has separated herself over the past few years. From wearing a necklace with the C-Word on it at church to her sometimes upsetting personal life, she’s never too far from headlines.
If you’re interested in telling Rihanna what to do, you should probably consider shutting your mouth and not wasting your breath. She’s a woman who does whatever she wants. Typically, that whatever involves wild shenanigans like wearing c-bomb necklaces into churches or instagramming ass shots. Now and again, however, the behavior goes from edgy to G-rated, goofy and loveable
Rihanna’s plan to shoot photographs inside the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi didn’t go very well over the weekend. Or, perhaps, it went exactly as the singer planned. Regardless, the pop star was given the big ugly boot from the grounds of the famed Mosque for not showing the structure the proper respect, but as you can see from the above photograph, she was able to emerge with her camera and post the shots already taken.
Rihanna might be a big tipper, but apparently, she’s the last person you want in your unlicensed sex club. The starlet was in Thailand last month for a series of concerts when she decided to stop by the establishment and watch a Thai woman pull a series of objects out of her hooha. She was so impressed/ disgusted/ confused by what she saw that she decided to tweet about it, which caught the attention of local authorities.
The pop star is known for some risky behavior, but surprisingly it wasn’t the red light districts that got her into hot water this time around. Instead, an Instagram photo of the pop singer posing with a protected species known as the slow loris.
To openly talk or not to openly talk about personal life choices is a decision everyone needs to make when they get older, whether they’re famous or not. Some people are very comfortable chatting with bosses and co-workers about going out and getting drunk on the weekends or even engaging in a little pot smoking.
Remember that angry Twitter rant Chris Brown went on in which he called the Los Angeles DA’s Office racist? Well, Gucci Mane spent much of the past few days making that tirade look like a gentle love song. Over the course of more than three dozen tweets, the rapper lashed out at some of his fellow musicians, made wild claims about sleeping and having threeways with a slew of famous females.
This week, the list of “Top Earning Celebs Under 30” debuted and the top earner was a bit of a shock. Lady Gaga topped the list in 2013. When you consider her latest album actually hit the charts in 2011 and that the singer actually had to cancel a significant portion of her tour this year, her prowess in the music market is really put into perspective. In fact, it seems the music market is a great place for youngsters to be: the top five slots all went to performers in the music biz.
Earlier this year, twenty-eight-year-old Starkeema Greenidge went to a Rihanna concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. While there, she allegedly walked by a make-up testing counter set up by Mac Cosmetics and decided to give RiRi’s newest lipstick a whirl. Not long after, she was diagnosed with herpes, and now, the question is where she got it from.
When you go to a concert, you don't expect to get herpes. Well, maybe some people consider it a possibility, but anyone who's just there for the music (and cosmetic samples) probably doesn't. And yet, one woman is now suing MAC Cosmetics because she believes they gave her mouth herpes through a contaminated lipstick sample at a Rihanna concert.
Remember that vicious Twitter fight that Amanda Bynes and Rihanna got into yesterday that involved the former referencing the latter being attacked by Chris Brown and the latter referencing the former having mental problems? Well, if Bynes is to be believed, she never sent any of those tweets. Instead, it was one of her followers who mocked up the fake comments and convinced the media to run with them.
Amanda Bynes is no stranger to making wild comments on Twitter. From talking about wanting Drake to murder her vagina to accusing police officers of sexual harassment to asking Barack Obama to fire a police officer, she isn’t a woman who is fond of camouflaging her real opinion. That being said, she took that reckless honesty to a whole new level today when she lashed out at Rihanna in a series of blunt and vicious tweets.
I have no idea whether Rihanna bought the shorts like that, had the pair professionally tailored or simply got out the scissors and altered the clothes herself, but I suppose it doesn’t really matter. They make more than enough of a statement without a backstory, though exactly what that statement might be depends on who you ask.
Over the years, so many celebrities, fans and critics have condemned Chris Brown and Rihanna’s on-again-off-again relationship that another one doing it normally wouldn’t be news, but considering the latest person to fire some warning shots is Brown’s own father, the words are attracting quite a bit of attention.
