Crazy Town's Shifty Shelshock Is In A Coma

Former Crazy Town lead singer Shifty Shellshock, real name Seth Binzer, has apparently been in a coma for at least four days. The star, better known lately for his stints on Celebrity Rehab and Sober House, was apparently rushed to the facility on Thursday, and he’s remained hospitalized and unresponsive ever since.

Given how long it has taken for word to get out, it’s not really a surprise the family isn’t releasing concrete details about what may have put Shifty in the hospital, but according to TMZ, some of the musician’s friends have speculated it’s likely drug-related. He was arrested last month for cocaine possession and was due to see a judge about his latest booking this week. More than likely, Shifty would have wound up in jail, which could explain why he may have binged or done something else particularly unhealthy.

Crazy Town is best remembered for the song “Butterfly” that reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 charts in 2000. A few years later, Shifty partnered with Paul Oakenfold on the song “Starry Eyed Surprise”, which also performed fairly well on the charts. Since then, it’s been a period of highs and lows for the musician thanks to his battles with drugs.

We’ll let you know if there’s any chance in Shellshock’s condition. Until then, keep the singer in your thoughts as he battles for his life.
