Hugh Grant Welcomes Second Child Into The World

Hugh Grant is a second-time daddy. Word leaked this morning after some tabloids came across the baby’s birth certificate and Grant later confirmed the news, noting that he has had a boy, although he attempted to remain moot on the newborn’s name for part of the day.

Luckily, The Daily Mail did a little sleuthing and says the name on the baby’s birth certificate is Felix Chang. Little Felix was born on December 29 at St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, West London and was registered just yesterday. The new baby is Grant’s second with Chinese partner Tinglan Hong (which explains the Change). Little Felix will join baby sister Tabitha, aged 16-months, whose mother is also Hong.

It’s likely Grant kept the news of the baby under wraps since the press had a field day with the couple’s first pregnancy after the Notting Hill actor‘s publicist called his relationship with Hong “fleeting.” However, you can’t keep babies a secret forever and Grant confirmed the news this afternoon via Twitter, feeling the need to joke about being the father but also saying some really nice things about his kids.

“In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum.”

A first baby can usually be pretty challenging, but luckily, parents often know the drill with the second baby. Here’s to hoping raising little Felix over the next few months will prove to be a piece of cake and that the new parents will not have to endure too many sleepless nights.
