Katherine Jackson Didn't Like It When MJ Made The Kids Wear Masks

Katherine Jackson loved her son Michael during his life, and she has continued to love him after his passing. She apparently thinks about him and even cries for him every single day, but that doesnít mean she thinks he was completely without fault as a parent. In fact, the second she got the children, there was at least one thing she vowed never to do: force the kids to wear masks.

During Michaelís time raising the children, he enacted a bizarre policy in which he covered the faces of his children or forced them to wear masks whenever they were in public or photographers were around. He was hoping it would protect their anonymity and allow them to behave like normal children, but in actuality, it reportedly just pissed the children off. Paris once called the practice stupid during an interview after her father died, and none of the kids have worn masks since.

Hereís what Katherine told Hello MagazineÖ
"They were sheltered a lot when Michael raised them. I had thought about it and I said, 'I am not going to raise them like that (wearing masks).í But Michael had a good reason. He was trying to protect them."

From strange name choices to questionable parenting philosophies, the general public and members of the media typically find a whole lot to take issue with when it comes to the raising of children. Many understandably questioned Michaelís behavior too, but upon reflection, he actually seems to have done pretty well. Paris has had some problems of late, but by all accounts, that anger has more to do with her dadís death than anything else. She and her brothers are very polite, very articulate and very generous.

Hereís what Katherine had to sayÖ
"The kids are great. They are incredibly polite and that's down to the way Michael brought them up. He instilled good manners but it's a different generation, of course, and I don't understand the whole social media thing. They are always on their phones."

Moving forward, hopefully all three Jackson children will be able to find either a college or a career path they can pour themselves into. Thanks to their famous father, they have more than enough money to live lavishly for the rest of their lives, but that wonít bring them long-term happiness. Instead, they should look for what truly makes each of them happy and push to get as good at that skill/ profession as possible.

Pop Blendís sincerest thoughts go out to them in that pursuit. Itíll be a long journey, but the ultimate fulfillment of doing something on their own, apart from their fatherís influence will feel wonderful.
