One of the biggest perks to owning a multi-million dollar home – besides generally having more space and nicer stuff – is that you often have added security in the form of guard gates and walls surrounding your property. This means no trespassers, and perhaps more importantly, no Jehovah’s witness knockers.

That being said, if you are a celebrity that could very well attract some crazies, it’s probably a good idea to invest in a property that comes with some added security. If a dude who wants to stalk you has little problem finding a way to knock on your front door, you should probably take a moment and think about what you can do to change that. Which is exactly what Lindsay Lohan is doing, after a stalker scare yesterday when a man named Lonnie Short demanded she open up her door and let him in. According to TMZ, soon after, Short was arrested for trespassing.

Now, Lohan is in the market to redo the security at her Venice Beach home. Surveillance cameras are in the works. Additionally, the I Know Who Killed Me star would like to add a new bodyguard to beef up her home. So, if you’ve always wanted a bodyguard gig with the recent Playmate model and you live in the L.A. area, now is your chance to apply.

Hopefully, Lohan will get her security issues figured out promptly. Trainwreck or no, no one deserves to be frightened or threatened in his or her own home.
