Watch This Japanese Dude Get Rid Of The Coloring In A Coca-Cola

If you are one of the few people who ever found Crystal Pepsi to be appetizing or just hate the idea of consuming artificial colors, a Japanese dude has put together a filter that may sort-of help your plight. A brand new video from Rocket News has demonstrated a dude using a filter strong enough to filter the coloring from a bottle of Coca-Cola soda pop.

The whole thing is like watching the reverse of what happens when a soda fountain mixes up that gooey, sludgy syrup and water to produce an awesome formula for soda pop. The Oka filter he is using looks pretty complicated, and may be taking out as much of the taste as it is the coloring. Either way, the video is a pretty cool watch, and the gross sludgy stuff the filter leaves behind is probably something everyone should see once in their lives. The video has attracted over 3 million YouTube hits thus far.

By the way, the Japanese dude drinking the filtered soda doesn’t look particularly happy to be doing so. Of course, he’s probably quite a bit happier than the jackass who drank a 20-year-old bottle of Crystal Pepsi a few months ago. At least this gimmick doesn’t involve excess on-camera vomiting. Instead, it’s simple, refreshing, and maybe even scientific.
