This week’s news has featured plenty of The Great Gatsby, which is why it shouldn't surprise anyone that the film is also heating up the music sphere.
Creepy Queens Of The Stone Age Video Teases New Album
On Tuesday, Queens of the Stone Age debuted “Kalopsia,” a brand new video celebrating music off the band’s upcoming album, Like Clockwork… . It’s the newest in what seems to be a series of wild, fantastical, and a little scary animated videos set to music from Josh Homme and company. At under 2 minutes, it’s not really a time suck, and it’s worth a watch.
Members Of Danity Kane Meet To Discuss Reunion
It looks like Danity Kane may be getting the band back together. The all-girl group famously came together in 2005 after working their rears off on MTV’s hit original series Making the Band. The girls had some success with singles like “Ride For You” and “Damaged” before breaking up in 2009 to pursue other endeavors, like shooting naked photos and joining the cast of Celebrity Apprentice.

Phillip Phillips Cancels Remainder Of Tour Dates
Last season’s American Idol winner didn’t really take a break after winning the veteran singing competition’s accolade. Instead, he put out the coronation song, “Home,” which went on to be a hit, then hit went on the American Idol tour. The 22-year-old singer didn’t even stop when he found out he would have to undergo kidney surgery, putting out a new album shortly after and going on tour. Now, however, his lack of rest post surgery has caught up with the singer and he has been forced to cancel tour dates
One Direction Has Supposedly Already Finished New Album
I’m happy to say One Direction is prepping to release another awesome pop-oriented album full of peppy tracks about love and fun. Anyone keeping track of the band over the last several months may already know that One Direction is preparing to put out a new album, and this time around, the group hopes to put out the album around the holidays. On Monday, singer and songwriter Ed Sheeran, who has worked with One Direction in the past, says the band’s newest album is already finished.
One Track Sunday: Rich Gang Puts Together A Heist In Tapout Video
If you’re looking for this week’s most over-the-top video, you’ve found it. Rich Gang has a pretty rich lineup, featuring Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, Future and plenty of others--although they get actually singing credit, unlike the socialite and The Voice’s media correspondent. All of these guest appearances lend credibility to a song that is pretty vulgar and, in the end, ultimately just an alright track.
Metropolitan Museum Of Art Will Return Statues To Cambodia
The Metropolitan Museum of Art received two Cambodian Khmer statues as donations between 1987 and 1992. The statues were valuable 10-Century artifacts that have had a special place within the walls of the Met, located at the front of the Southeast Asian Gallery since 1994. While the items have been a key part of the collection for years, they will be removed and shipped back to Cambodia because of some intriguing pieces of information that have come to light.
Watch Matt Lauer And Psy Do The Gentleman Dance
Matt Lauer is busy trying to work his way back into public popularity and there’s really no better way to accomplish this than by being chummy with the ever-popular cult phenomenon, Psy. The South Korean singer joined the Today Show for a second time on Friday and Lauer came out of his shell and did something he almost never does and vowed he wouldn’t do when Psy hit the set: He danced.
Rolling Stones Having Problems Moving $600 Tickets
The Rolling Stones are having problems selling tickets. More specifically, the beloved band is having problems moving seats for their newest tour after prices inflated to $600 a pop, and with less than a day to go before the 50 And Counting tour officially kicks off, it’s entirely possible the guys will take the stage tonight to less faces than they’d hoped staring back at them.
Slayer Guitarist Jeff Hanneman Dead At 49
Fossils of strange species are found more often than most of us would probably guess. However, it’s not quite as often that a fossilized bird is found that has identified a line of birds similar to the quick flying hummingbirds and swallows of today that would have stemmed from a common ancestor.
Viva Forever, The Spice Girls Musical, Will Close In June, Lose Millions
It’s not a Spice World anymore. The much-hyped musical Viva Foreverl based on the Spice Girls and their high-kicking run to superstardom premiered in London on the West End last year, but unfortunately, the fan support wasn’t quite as aggressive as the ladies had hoped. So, after months of less than packed houses, executives have decided to close the production down.
