Possibly Zen Studios’ most animated virtual pinball table to date, Plants vs. Zombies, is shambling onto the PlayStation Network this afternoon, the first new table to be offered under the Zen Pinball 2 banner. There’s also a pretty great launch trailer up for viewing, showing off how the table stays true to the tower defense nature of the original PvZ.
A little while back, the folks at Zen Studios announced a partnership with PopCap to create a line of digital pinball tables designed around the casual game developer’s fan-favorite catalog. The first table on that roster was announced today at the Penny Arcade Expo, PAX, and it looks like the timeless struggle of Plants vs. Zombies will continue on a good ole’ fashioned pin table.
Virtual pinball enthusiasts playing on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita have a lot to look forward to on Sept. 4, as that is the recently announced launch date for Zen Studios’ mega-collection, Zen Pinball 2.
Sometimes Earth’s mightiest heroes can’t take on the bad guys all alone. Sometimes they need help…Pinball help. And if that pinball action can come in three glorious dimensions, well, then that’s even better. The fate of the world rests in your hands (or flippers, rather) as Zen Studios has confirmed release dates for Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles. From the same people that brought gamers Zen Pinball comes Planet Minigolf, a casual golfing game that will be making an appearance on the PlayStation Network this spring.
Zen Studios released a new trailer that contains plenty of action, shooting and punishment.
Today Zen Studios revealed the release date for their first-person shooter The Punisher: No Mercy. The Unreal Engine 3-powered shooter will be released exclusively through the PlayStation Store on July 2nd.
When a publisher drops a game, particularly a game late in development, it puts developers into a bind. They'll end up moving onto other projects while searching for someone - anyone - to come in and publish their product. However, the upcoming multi-platform Ghostbusters game seems to have benefited from being dumped by their original publisher.
ZEN Studios has confirmed that Punisher: No Mercy will be available on Spring 2009. In addition, they've released six new screenshots of the upcoming PSN shooter.
There were whispers a week or so ago about a new Punisher game in development, and now it's been confirmed: Zen Studios is working on Punisher: No Mercy and it'll only appear on PlayStation 3.
