Well, at least we got to see some of the lucky lotto winners in ABC's new drama Lucky 7 blow a bunch of money on fancy clothes, bags and shoes, right? That's about all the celebrating the series had left apparently, as ABC is reportedly canceling the drama after just two episodes, making Lucky 7 the un-lucky pick to be the first cancellation of the season. Given the series' ratings, it's not all that surprising.
It's not unusual for a show to drop in ratings from its season or series premiere to its second episode, so we shouldn't be especially surprised that Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s second episode didn't perform quite as well as it did with its premiere. On the bright side, the series debuted to huge numbers, so it has a bit of wiggle room when it comes to its post-premiere decline. Let's just hope that decline tapers off in the coming episodes.
It's a big day for TV premieres! Not only is ABC unveiling two new comedies, but they're also set to debut two new dramas, one of which just so happens to be one of the most anticipated new series of the season. Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. premieres tonight! The arrival of the super-drama makes Syfy's timing seem all the more perfect in debuting their new reality TV show Fangasm later on tonight. Check out trailers for both series and more ahead!
Who hasn't daydreamed about winning the lotto? But there's something particularly special about a workplace lotto pool, as it merges the dreams of a group of coworkers into a common goal: to win millions of dollars and probably quit as soon as possible. ABC's new drama Lucky 7 plays with that concept as a group of gas station employees hit the jackpot when their numbers finally come up.
Capping off ABC's line-up of all new programming on Tuesday nights is Lucky 7, an hour-long drama series based on a British show called The Syndicate, about a group of seven gas station employees in Queens, NY who hit the lotto after years of pooling their money and never thinking they'd actually win. The above clip shows us that winning moment as the various employees watch the numbers called out and realize that their luck has finally turned around.
Capping off what will hopefully be a topnotch night of television on Tuesdays this fall, ABC has Lucky 7 set to air at 10:00 p.m.. Based on a British series called The Syndicate, Lucky 7 follows a group of gas station employees, all of whom could use a stroke of good fortune, who hit it big with the lottery. But as the trailer indicates, the situation has a few twists.
ABC has posted their 2013-2014 line-up of new and returning series, which gives us a look at the plan for the network's schedule for the fall. The network has moved The Neighbors over to Friday nights, to join Last Man Standing, and fill the gap left by Malibu Country. Meanwhile, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will air on Tuesday nights, ahead of new comedies The Goldbergs and Trophy Wife, which are sandwiched between another new drama, Lucky 7.
For its 12th and final drama pilot order of the season, ABC is going ahead with a pilot for Lucky 7, which is an adaptation of the British series The Syndicate. Just renewed for its second season, the British drama follows a group of supermarket employees who win the lottery on a ticket bought together.
