Jim Parsons Yucks It Up In New Saturday Night Live Promos
The reigning king of mainstreamed geekery is heading to Saturday Night Live this weekend, taking his first turn as host on the longstanding NBC sketch show. That’s right: The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons is mere days away from helming the good ship SNL as it returns from its winter hiatus. And now we’ve got the promotional video to prove it! [Bazinga joke!]
The Big Bang Theory Nabs James Earl Jones And Carrie Fisher For Guest Star Roles
A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher were asked to take part in a seriously Star Wars-centric casting stunt on CBS’ incredibly popular Chuck Lorre series, The Big Bang Theory and the duo said yes. Both actors (one the voice of Darth Vader — Jones, the other Princess Leia herself) will appear as themselves in a future episode, the series’ executive producers Bill Prady and Steve Molaro revealed on the Golden Globes red carpet.
Game Of Thrones And Breaking Bad Among 2013's Most Illegally Downloaded TV Shows
With Christmas just barely in the rearview and the new year upon us, now’s a good time to look back on what people were watching over the last year, or in the case of this latest compilation, what TV shows people were pirating most in 2013. As it happens, Game of Thrones has once again topped the list.
Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad, Arrested Development, Veep And Others Earn SAG Nominations
The nominations for the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced today. As you may have surmised by the title, these awards celebrate excellence in acting as presented by the Screen Actors Guild (aka SAG). This year’s nominations put Behind the Candelabra stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon up against one another, and the same for Top of the Lake’s Holly Hunter and Elisabeth Moss.

Watch Stephen Hawking 'Sing' The Big Bang Theory Theme Song At Comic-Con
The Big Bang Theory has been as visible as ever at Comic-Con this year, adorning the giant, poster-sized bags that attendees get when they pick up their bags, and inspiring lines for Ballroom 20 so long that our poor correspondent Eric couldn't even get in the door
Warner Bros.' 2013 Comic-Con Bags Are Backpacks And Have Capes
Capes are back! Or they will be at Comic-Con this year. Someone tell Edna ("No capes!"). Warner Bros. unveiled the official 2013 Comic-Con bags and they come with detachable capes. That, added to the announcement that the bags are fashioned like a backpack this year causes me some mild concern that many of us may feel compelled to run while wearing it, as such a compulsion can arise when wearing a cape.

Warner Bros. Television Group has had a pretty sizable presence at Comic Con in San Diego in recent years, and this year is no exception. The studio announced the 17 series that will be present at SDCC this year, including the new dramas that will be screened during preview night. Those SDCC attendees there for Preview Night (Wed. The Big Bang Theory, Game Of Thrones, Breaking Bad And Others Win Critics Choice TV Awards
Which is the better drama, Breaking Bad or Game of Thrones? That could be the topic of some pretty lively debate, but if you ask the Broadcast Television Journalists Association, they'd come back with a tie. The two cable dramas tied for Best Drama at the Critics' Choice Television Awards this year. The Big Bang Theory managed to come out on top among the comedies, indicating that the critics and the millions (and millions) of TV viewers who watch the comedy are like-minded in that regard.

The Big Bang Theory is set to get a visit from a classic TV comedian, but he won’t be bringing Larry, his brother Darryl, or his other brother Darryl. Bob Newhart will be appearing in an upcoming episode of CBS’ hit comedy, marking his first half-hour comedy role in close to ten years.
Game Of Thrones And Dexter Top 2012 Most Illegally Downloaded TV Shows
In unsurprising news, two of the top three most pirated TV shows, according to TorrentFreak, are pay cable series, but interestingly enough, only three of the top ten shows are premium cable series, which suggests that the issue of pirating has as much - if not more - to do with availability as it does with cost.
