The Screen Actors Guild just unleashed its nominees for 2014, and as it usually is with television, most of the nominees are pretty much what you would expect. Game Of Thrones, House Of Cards and Modern Family all cleaned up on nominations.
The Big Bang Theory family suffered a tragic loss this week when character actress Carol Ann Susi died of cancer at 62. The voice of Howard Wolowitz’ mother Debbie has passed suddenly after a brief bout with cancer with which she was diagnosed less than a month ago.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher were asked to take part in a seriously Star Wars-centric casting stunt on CBS’ incredibly popular Chuck Lorre series, The Big Bang Theory and the duo said yes. Both actors (one the voice of Darth Vader — Jones, the other Princess Leia herself) will appear as themselves in a future episode, the series’ executive producers Bill Prady and Steve Molaro revealed on the Golden Globes red carpet.

The nominations for the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards were announced today. As you may have surmised by the title, these awards celebrate excellence in acting as presented by the Screen Actors Guild (aka SAG). This year’s nominations put Behind the Candelabra stars Michael Douglas and Matt Damon up against one another, and the same for Top of the Lake’s Holly Hunter and Elisabeth Moss.
