The bad news is, after next Sunday night, we have months and months to wait for the second half of the fifth and final season of Breaking Bad. But after last night's episode, and the episode before that (and the one before that), I really don't know how much more I can take! There's been some serious momentum building up. Sure, I understand some people are disappointed that the season was split, but to be honest, I'm looking forward to the anticipation and speculation that will likely follow next Sunday night's "Gliding Over All."
Spoiler alert if you aren't caught up on last night's episode!
Given the build-up, factored in with last night's episode, which marked a major character death, my expectations for this Sunday night's "Gliding Over All" are set pretty high. Mike's death was a huge blow for the series, and while I can't say I didn't see it coming, it's one more reason to anticipate Walt's downfall. Am I in the minority that it's coming? Or are people still holding out hope that Walt has a chance to come out on top? (Sound off in the comments section below!)
It's probably not a huge prediction to suggest something big is coming with the mid-season finale. But what will it be? Will Jesse find out about what happened to Mike and react somehow? Will Hank finally get some key piece to the puzzle that leads him to consider Walt? Will someone else die? We'll have to wait until next week to find out. In the meantime, here's the promo for "Gliding Over All."
And in this preview scene, we have Walt sitting down with Lydia…
I'm as interested to see how Walt deals with Lydia as I am with Todd, as both he and Lydia seem like wildcards right now, and could prove to be Walt's undoing.
Here's a still of Jesse. Is it me, or does he look seriously angry?
Breaking Bad airs Sunday night at 10:00 p.m. ET on AMC.
