In Case You Missed It, Adam Scott And Jon Hamm In The Greatest Event In Television History
For the last month, Parks and Recreation star Adam Scott has been a one man marketing machine, tweeting a bunch of bizarre photos to set the stage for a secret fifteen (well, eleven and a half) minute special co-starring Jon Hamm. Billed as The Greatest Event in Television History, the mysterious project turned out to be Scott and the Mad Men lead actor recreating the title sequence from the 80s cheesy action series Simon & Simon for Adult Swim, complete with a 'behind-the-scenes' preamble featuring a bunch of great cameos.
And in case you missed it, the entire extravaganza is now available online! Survivor's Jeff Probst hosts The Greatest Event in Television History and you'll never guess who they brought in to direct. Take a look...
The build up featuring all the guest stars (Paul Rudd, Paul Scheer, Kathryn Hahn, Megan Mullally and Gus Van Sant) is pretty funny but pales in comparison to the actual title sequence remake. Scott and Hamm look awesome in the recreation and I think I've watched it (and the original buried in the end credits) like a hundred times. It just never gets old.
Just in case you were wondering, Parks and Recreation airs Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC. Mad Men returns to AMC for its sixth season (probably) sometime in the spring of 2013.
