Variety is reporting that Kristen Bell, A.K.A. Veronica Mars, has just joined the cast of NBC’s Heroes for a multiepisode arc. This news comes just a few days after hearing that Mars would not be joining the cast of Lost, as previously speculated.
I am thrilled at this news! I only got into Veronica Mars this season, and just when I was really starting to love it, it was canceled (Boo hoo!). Then came the news that Bell might be joining the cast of Lost (Woo hoo!) but no sooner was that reported than another report came in saying that she had supposedly turned down the offer of a role on Lost because she didn’t want to... get this... relocate to HAWAII! (Boo hoo! And seriously, who doesn’t want to relocate to Hawaii??)
Bell, who will first appear in October, will be playing Elle, a mysterious woman who is tied to the supposed death of Peter (who BETTER not be dead!), H.R.G’s. (Horn Rimmed Glasses) past, and Claire’s future. Sounds interesting...
Elle will kick off her Heroes stint by committing a crime, but it is unknown at this time whether the character is good or bad. I vote for good! Veronica Mars is just what the heroes of Heroes need to take down the big, bad Sylar!
Heroes returns for it’s sophomore season on NBC September 24.
