The Walking Dead Featurette Looks Behind The Scenes Of Season 4
It's still a bit too soon for us to get any kind of substantial look at The Walking Dead's fourth season, but AMC did offer up a great little teaser in the form of a two-and-a-half minute long behind-the-scenes featurette, which shows off some footage of the filming and a few snippets from Season 3. But most of what's revealed here is conversation from TWD comic series creator Robert Kirkman and executive producers Greg Nicotero, Robert Kirkman, Gale Anne, as well as co-executive producer Denise Huth.
The four discuss Scott Gimple as the new showrunner and Greg Nicotero directing the Season 4 premiere (and his call dropping while they were giving him that big news). Meanwhile, the behind-the-scenes footage reveals people prepping zombies for shooting and Nicotero getting Norman Reedus in a headlock. And Nicotero promises twists and character turns that will delight the fans. Sounds good to us!
We might not expect to see a whole lot from the new season in the coming weeks, but Comic Con is next month and The Walking Dead has become one of the most hotly anticipated TV-related panels at the convention. The first big trailer for the new season has debuted there in previous years. Hopefully the same will be the case this year, in which case, we don't have very long to wait for that. At least, not by comparison to the wait between now and when The Walking Dead's fourth season premieres this fall (most likely in October).
