New Year’s may no longer be synonymous with Dick Clark, but it is synonymous with some fine musical performances, as well as a night of cheery hosts and celebrity interviews. At the top of its game with New Year’s programming is ABC’s Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve, a program hosted by the expressive and affable Ryan Seacrest. Now, we’ve reached the time of year where we get to see who will be involved with the upcoming spectacular.

This year’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve will be headlined by a country gem, a pop singer, and an indie band. Taylor Swift, Carly Rae Jepsen, and Neon Trees will all perform during the December 31 event in Times Square. I’m not sure what the latter band will bring to the table, but I can almost guarantee viewers will hear some “Call Me Maybe” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” According to THR, on the West Coast, Fergie will play the role of host in an event that will include Brandy, Pitbull, and Flo Rida.

Seacrest has been hosting New Year’s Rockin’ Eve since 2005, and now the man executive produces the event alongside Allen Shapiro and Orly Adelson. This year’s event will kick off at 8 p.m. ET with a tribute to Clark. At 10 p.m. ET, the festivities for the night, featuring live performances, will also kick off. Additional performers are expected to be added to the roster in the next couple of weeks, so keep and eye out!
