The Conchords Take Flight With A Complete Collection On DVD This August
The adventures of "New Zealand's Fourth Most Popular Folk Parody Duo" only lasted two seasons on HBO, but on August 24th you'll be able to take the whole series home...with a live, 30-minute special, to boot.
For those uninitiated, Flight of the Conchords is a musical/parody/sitcom-y kind of thing following the comedy duo of the same name, composed of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. The two star as fictionalized versions of themselves trying to make it big in New York City. Each episode incorporates their songs into the usual sitcom-style antics, and though it only lasted two seasons, it racked up plenty of critical praise and 10 Emmy nominations. The complete set hitting this August will include all 22 episodes of the show, as well as the never-before-released Flight of the Conchords: One Night Stand special. But wait, there's more!
Flight of the Conchords: The Complete Collection Bonus Features
- Flight of the Conchords: On Air -- A mini-documentary featuring Bret and Jemaine at their droll best.
- "Dave’s Pawn Shop" commercials -- Bret and Jemaine’s friend Dave keeps the prices low and the energy high in his mock TV ads for Mohumbhai and Sons.
- “New Zealand Consulate Meetings with Murray and Greg” -- Hilarious snippets from meetings with Murray, Bret and Jemaine’s inept manager, and his associate Greg.
- Hilarious Deleted Scenes and Outtakes!
