When Uncharted 4: A Thief's End released back in May, the game received a whirlwind of positive reviews with people praising the never-fail-to-impress storyline and a sort of closure on the long and unforgettable Uncharted series. And finally, Naughty Dog has announced when we can get our hands on Uncharted 4's first set of DLC.
The DLC will be released as soon as next week, on June 29. The DLC will include a new maps for the multiplayer matches, a revamped system for team deathmatch, boosters, guns, taunts, skins and more.
But those who own the Triple Pack will get something a little extra next week alongside the DLC. If you want to see the entirety of Uncharted 4 DLC and what's coming, check out the image below.
The biggest change to come to the Uncharted franchise was the announcement that all DLC would be free of charge with the purchase of the game. Typically, DLC doesn't come free with games because it's yet another way for developers and publishers to make money off of the game. But that's why what Uncharted 4 is doing is so fantastic, because rather than make the whole experience feel corporate and make gamers shell out the dollars just to play more of Uncharted 4, they're giving them the opportunity to enjoy the content for free.
I think it's great that Naughty Dog is giving passionate gamers what they want most without the hefty money roadblock, and I think it's a very smart way to boost game sales in general. Because knowing you'll get the DLC for free will make you want to invest in the game itself just to get to the DLC. Uncharted remains as one of my favorite video game franchises, not only for its impeccable narrative experience, but for its perfect balance of Indiana-Jones-like action and quirky characters. And to add free DLC to that list only boosts it further up my list of favorites.
